حفظ حدیث با ترجمه انگلیسی
قَالَ ( عليهالسلام )أَعْجَزُ النَّاسِ مَنْ عَجَزَ عَنِ اكْتِسَابِ الْإِخْوَانِ وَ أَعْجَزُ مِنْهُ مَنْ ضَيَّعَ مَنْ ظَفِرَ بِهِ مِنْهُمْ
Amir al-mu'menin, peace be upon him, said: The most helpless of all men is he who cannot find a few brothers during his life, but still more helpless is he who finds such a brother but loses him.'
وَ قَالَ ( عليهالسلام )قُرِنَتِ الْهَيْبَةُ بِالْخَيْبَةِ وَ الْحَيَاءُ بِالْحِرْمَانِ وَ الْفُرْصَةُ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِ فَانْتَهِزُوا فُرَصَ الْخَيْرِ
The consequence of fear is disappointment and of bashfulness is frustration. Opportunity passes away like the cloud. Therefore, make use of good opportunities.
قَالَ ( عليهالسلام) لِسَانُ الْعَاقِلِ وَرَاءَ قَلْبِهِ وَ قَلْبُ الْأَحْمَقِ وَرَاءَ لِسَانِه
The tongue of the wise man is behind his heart, and the heart of the fool is behind his tongue.
قَالَ ( عليهالسلام )اللِّسَانُ سَبُعٌ إِنْ خُلِّيَ عَنْهُ عَقَرَ
The tongue is a beast; if it is let loose, it devours.
6وَ قَالَ ( عليهالسلام )إِذَا تَمَّ الْعَقْلُ نَقَصَ الْكَلَامُ
As intelligence increases, speech decreases
كُنْ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ كَابْنِ اللَّبُونِ لَا ظَهْرٌ فَيُرْكَبَ وَ لَا ضَرْعٌ فَيُحْلَب
During civil disturbance be like an adolescent camel who has neither a back strong enough for riding nor udders for milking.
در هنگام وقوع فتنه چون شتر دو ساله باش كه نه پشت قدرتمندى دارد كه سوارى دهد و نه پستانى دارد كه بتوان از او شير دوشيد.
وَ قَالَ ( عليهالسلام )مَا أَضْمَرَ أَحَدٌ شَيْئاً إِلَّا ظَهَرَ فِي فَلَتَاتِ لِسَانِهِ وَ صَفَحَاتِ وَجْهِهِ
Whenever a person conceals a thing in his heart it manifests itself through unintentional words from his tongue and )in( the expressions of his face.
هيچكس چيزى را در دل پنهان نكرد مگر اين كه در سخنان بدون فكرش و رنگ چهرهاش آن را آشكار ساخت.
ازْرَى بِنَفْسِهِ مَنِ اسْتَشْعَرَ الطَّمَع وَ رَضِيَ بِالذُّلِّ مَنْ كَشَفَ ضُرَّهُ وَ هَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ نَفْسُهُ مَنْ أَمَّرَ عَلَيْهَا لِسَانَهُ
He who adopts greed as a habit devalues himself; he who discloses his hardship agrees to humiliation; and he who allows his tongue to overpower his soul debases the soul.
كسى كه حرص را شعار خود قرار دهد خود را خوار كرده است و كسى كه راز گرفتارى خود را فاش سازد تن به ذلت داده است و آنكه زبان خويش را بر خود فرمانروا سازد، مقام و منزلتش از بين خواهد رفت.
